4 Veblen, Thorstein Bunde
Профессор политэкономии Чикагского [ Chicago, University of] (1893-1906), Стэнфордского [ Stanford University] (1906-09) и Миссурийского университетов [ Missouri, University of] (1911-18), Новой школы социологических исследований [New School for Social Research] (1918-27). Известен трудом "Теория праздного класса" ["The Theory of The Leisure Class"] (1899), в котором была изложена концепция "показного потребления" ["conspicuous consumption"] как признака принадлежности к категории состоятельных граждан. Среди других трудов: "Теория частного предприятия" ["The Theory of Business Enterprise"] (1904), "Инженеры и система ценообразования" ["The Engineers and the Price System"] (1921) и др.English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Veblen, Thorstein Bunde
